The County Government of Kakamega is seeking to recruit Inspectors (Ground Water). This is an entry and training grade into this cadre where the successful candidate will work under the supervision of a senior officer to manage and monitor groundwater resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance of all types of groundwater and monitoring instruments.
Collection of rock and water samples for laboratory analysis.
Participation in hydro-geological and geophysical surveys.
Requirements for Appointment
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C (Plain) with at least a C (Plain) in English Language, Physical Science, and Mathematics.
Have undergone a three (3) year Technical Training course at the Kenya Water Institute or an equivalent institution and obtained a Diploma or Certificate in Groundwater Technology or equivalent approved qualifications.
A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
Additional Details
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
Basic Salary: Kshs. 26,900 – 35,380 per month.
