The Inspector-Electrical is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and maintenance of electrical systems within public buildings, government quarters, and power generating facilities. The role involves technical inspections and hands-on maintenance of various electrical controls and appliances to support the county's infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Duties
Electrical Installation Inspection: Inspect and maintain electrical installations in public buildings and government quarters.
Equipment Testing: Test and maintain electrical controls related to fire-detection equipment, cookers, water-heaters and general domestic appliances.
Machinery Maintenance: Inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in power generating plants and machinery.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications (Computer literate).
