Information Technology Interns

Role Overview

This is a three-month Information Technology internship program offered by Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks company. Diageo is a business built on the principles and foundations laid by the giants of the industry. The program is designed to provide practical professional experience to eligible students in IT-related fields.

Eligibility Requirements

Only students currently in their 3rd or final year can apply for these opportunities. Candidates should plan to continue their education once the internship concludes or be awaiting graduation. Sadly, candidates who finished their education and have spent over a year (12 months) since leaving school will not qualify for consideration. If you apply, your application will automatically be declined.

• You must be undertaking a bachelor’s degree or equivalent at a public or accredited private academic institution.
• You must be on break/holiday from school during the internship period.

Key Skills and Attributes Needed

A successful intern has a desire to gain professional experience and is exceptionally eager to learn and explore possibilities. The role requires:

• Strong listening skills.
• Oral and written communication skills, the ability to understand instructions, as well as not being afraid to ask questions.
• Excellent knowledge in use of Microsoft applications is needed.
• Very articulate with fluent English.
• Patient, committed, and possess high attention to detail.
• Able to understand directions and work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Keen to learn about the markets and also demonstrates pride in their work at this initial stage of their career development.
• A dedication to completing the 3 months internship program.

Program Details and Mandatory Documentation

• The internship is for a fixed period of three months without extension.
• You will be required to complete an online test as soon as the application process is closed to progress through the recruitment process.

Mandatory Requirements (Documentation Needed):

1. Letter from your institution indicating you are a student there and/or require internship as part of requirement for course completion.
2. Personal Accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
3. Bank account details.
4. Copy of National Identity Card.
5. Copy of KRA Pin Certificate.
6. NSSF and SHA numbers.
