This role is responsible for the execution of comprehensive Identity and Access Management (IAM) procedures, ensuring robust authentication, authorization, and access provisioning across the organization.
Identity Access Management and Architecture
- Assists in managing the complete user identity lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and routine account updates.
- Monitors for and investigates security incidents related to identities/workloads, and recommends appropriate corrective action.
- Provides identity and access management advisory and consulting services to internal stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains training materials related to identity and access management policies and procedures.
Compliance and Governance
- Regularly audits and monitors access rights to detect anomalies and mitigate potential security risks.
- Responds effectively to findings from internal and external audits, implementing necessary remediation measures.
- Participates in ongoing auditing activities, risk assessments, and ensures the successful implementation of all audit recommendations.
Key Working Relationships
- Position Reports to: Senior Program Manager, Identity and Access Management
- Indirect Reporting: Regional and country program leadership, IT leadership, and the IRC privacy office.
- Internal Contacts: IT staff across all regions, HQ and Nairobi iHub teams, the global Safety and Security Team, and line personnel across all regions, with an emphasis on International Programs.
- External Contacts: Industry/sector peers, vendors, and law enforcement if required for incident response. Participates in sector discussions concerning IT security-related issues.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in an information systems-related field is preferred.
- Work Experience: 2–3 years’ experience operating within a global organization; candidates must have at least 1 year experience managing user accounts.
