Job Description
Kiirua Technical Training Institute is seeking a qualified ICT Technician to support the institution's technical operations. The institute is a TVET institution under the Ministry of Education in Kenya, mandated to train middle-level technical and vocational trainees. The ICT Technician role involves maintaining ICT infrastructure, assisting students with technical projects, and ensuring the smooth running of practical sessions within the workshops.
Duties and Responsibilities
Undertaking repairs and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
Assisting students with their technical projects and assignments.
Organizing and setting up for practical lessons.
Ensuring the safety and security of equipment and personnel within the workshops.
Performing any other duties assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
At least one (1) year of relevant work experience.
Possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Demonstrated ability to assemble, maintain, and repair computers.
