Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant (USDH Portfolio) serves as the assistant to the U.S. Direct Hire (USDH) Portfolio within the U.S. Embassy. This role is crucial for supporting the American HR Portfolio, which encompasses 31 U.S. government agencies and offices, over 1,500 Chief of Mission personnel, and resources close to $1 billion. The incumbent works closely with the American Portfolio team, including two other Human Resources Assistants, a Human Resources Clerk, and the American Services Team Lead. This position is supervised by the Human Resources Officer who oversees the American Portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administering and assisting with the yearly Employee Evaluation Report (EER) processes.
Administering and assisting with the yearly eAwards processes.
Providing comprehensive support to the American HR Portfolio operations.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of administrative office work experience is required.
Education Requirements
A High School Diploma is required.
Job Knowledge
Must possess a good knowledge of Mission, Bureau, and Post Employment Policies.
Must have a good knowledge of OPM (Office of Personnel Management) rules and US Federal Employment Benefits such as FEHB (Federal Employees Health Benefits), FEGLI (Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance), and TSP (Thrift Savings Plan).
Must have working knowledge of EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) laws.
Security Requirement
Position requires Secret Security clearance.
