Job Description
AIC Kijabe Hospital, a Level 6B National Tertiary Teaching and Referral Hospital, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospitality Supervisor to oversee and manage its food and beverage services. The hospital was established in 1915 and is a multi-specialty facility with a bed capacity of 363, sponsored by the Africa Inland Church, Kenya. The selected candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and hygienic hospitality services across the facility, contributing positively to patient experience and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities (Inferred)
Supervise the daily operations of the hospital's food and beverage department, including staff scheduling and performance management.
Ensure all food preparation and service strictly adheres to established hygiene, safety, and quality standards, especially in a clinical environment.
Manage inventory, monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and hospitality supplies, and coordinate timely procurement.
Oversee the efficient use of resources and equipment within the department.
Handle patient and visitor feedback regarding hospitality services and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Education: Diploma in Food and Beverage Production or its equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a supervisory role within hospitality or institutional catering (hospital preferred).
Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are essential for effective team management and stakeholder interaction.
