Highway Design Engineer

Runji & Partners is an indigenous owned and managed Kenyan firm of Consulting Engineers, operating mainly in the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The firm is a limited liability company with the majority shares held by the professional engineers of the firm.

The Highway Design Engineer will be responsible for the specialized design and supervision of road infrastructure projects, focusing on both urban roads and major highways. This is a crucial Full-Time role requiring extensive post-graduation experience and proven leadership in design.

Qualifications and Experience

Education and Registration:

• BSc. (Eng.) in Civil Engineering.
• Registered or merit registration with the Engineers’ Board of Kenya (EBK).

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years’ post-graduation experience in the design and supervision of Road Projects.
• The candidate must have served as a Lead Design Engineer in at least One Urban Roads Project and/or One Highway Project with Urban Roads components.

Technical Proficiency:

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, INFRAWORKS, MS Office Suite, and other relevant Highway Design Software.
• Knowledge of Road Design Safety Audit will be considered an added advantage.
