The role of Head Housekeeper (Hospitality) is based in Kilifi, overseeing and managing all non-kitchen household operations across both homes within a private luxury compound. The successful candidate will ensure impeccable cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all living areas, guest spaces, and service areas, upholding the rigorous standards of a luxury private home.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all non-kitchen household operations across both homes within the compound.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all living areas, guest spaces, and service areas.
- Provide high-quality table service, including food and beverage service, following the standards of a luxury private home.
- Welcome, attend to, and anticipate the needs of homeowners and guests with professionalism and warmth.
- Coordinate housekeeping routines, laundry management, and general upkeep to ensure the homes are always guest ready.
- Supervise any support staff when required, ensuring standards are consistently met.
- Work proactively to identify and resolve issues, maintain inventories, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Uphold strict confidentiality, discretion, and trustworthiness at all times.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Training:
- Hospitality training or a certificate/diploma (BA/BSc/HND or Diploma) in hospitality management.
Experience:
- Previous experience is required in a high-end private residence, boutique hotel, or luxury lodge.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak confidently and professionally.
- High level of grooming, courtesy, and service etiquette.
- Strong sense of initiative, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated loyalty, integrity, and discretion.
