The Head of Business Performance will lead financial modelling activities for strategic business opportunities and initiatives using a range of modelling and scenario building tools. The role ensures rigorous testing of assumptions and risks to aid high-quality decision-making across the business. Additionally, the role is responsible for driving a robust performance management culture and providing senior leadership with timely performance insights.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Modelling & Strategy: Lead financial modelling activities for strategic business opportunities and initiatives, ensuring robust risk and assumption testing.
Process Development: Develop and implement structured processes for business planning, enterprise budgeting, performance monitoring, financial modelling, and post-investment reviews.
Planning & Budgeting: Oversee the business planning and budgeting cycle, establishing budget development frameworks and conducting periodic performance reviews with reforecasting.
Commercial Analysis: Partner with business unit leaders to conduct strategic and tactical commercial analyses of opportunities and threats.
Data Integration & Insights: Gather reliable financial and non-financial data to provide deep analyses, insights, and options for decision-making.
Ad Hoc Reporting: Design and deliver tailored performance reports and analytics focused on enterprise value drivers.
Performance Culture: Promote a performance-driven culture by implementing robust budgets, metrics, and corporate targets.
Model Review: Translate IFRS9 model outputs and impairment drivers into non-technical business insights to guide decision-making.
Cost Efficiency: Review investment spend and operating costs to identify cost-efficient initiatives and assess return on investment.
Executive Reporting: Ensure the timely and quality delivery of performance packs for board and senior management review.
Position Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional Certificate: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.
Experience: At least 8 years of finance experience, with proven management experience in financial analysis, BI tools (EDWH, SQL, SAP BI, Power BI), business partnering, strategic budgeting, stakeholder management, and leading diverse teams.
