The Group HR Manager role, based in Nairobi, is a senior leadership position focused on developing and implementing Human Resources strategies and operations across the entire Group. This role is crucial for ensuring HR functions align seamlessly with the organization's overarching vision and strategic goals across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will drive key HR processes, manage talent acquisition, oversee performance, and ensure full compliance with regional labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Group’s vision and goals.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding of talent across the Group.
- Drive performance management processes across the Group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Promote a positive organizational culture and employee engagement across all Group entities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements across all jurisdictions.
- Standardize HR processes and systems across the Group to drive efficiency and consistency.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional HR certification such as CHRP is an added advantage.
- 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including 5 years in senior leadership.
- Experience managing HR functions across multiple business units or countries.
- Strong leadership, people management, and performance management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of labor laws, payroll systems, and HR operations.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to execute operationally.
- High emotional intelligence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation abilities.
- Awareness of ESG labor standards and ability to integrate them into HR frameworks.
