The Garment Production Machinist (Tailor) at NIBS College plays a crucial role in the high-volume production of garments, ensuring all products meet high-quality standards and specifications. This position requires proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and general tailoring equipment to accurately cut, sew, repair, and alter various garments.
Responsibilities
- Cut, sew, repair, and alter garments, ensuring neat finishes and high quality standards are consistently met.
- Operate industrial sewing machines effectively for high-volume production workflows.
- Strictly follow stitching specifications, patterns, and work orders with accuracy.
- Assemble garments efficiently and with precision.
- Conduct routine maintenance on sewing machines and promptly report any issues or malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve established production targets.
- Inspect finished products meticulously for defects and promptly execute necessary corrections or adjustments.
Minimum Requirements
- A qualification such as BA/BSc/HND is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in garment production.
- Proficient in the use of sewing machines and all relevant tailoring equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain speed and accuracy while working under pressure.
