The role of Gardener / Farm Worker within the Department of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry for the County Government of Kitui is crucial for supporting agricultural and maintenance activities. This position requires physical fitness and basic knowledge of farming practices to ensure the proper cultivation and upkeep of county land and crops. Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks:
Prepare land for planting including digging, weeding, and leveling.
Assist in planting, watering, and harvesting of crops.
Maintain farm structures, tools, and irrigation facilities.
Control weeds and pests under supervision.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Be at least 18 years of age and above.
