Gardener / Farm Worker (ATC Farm)

The County Government of Kitui is seeking a Gardener / Farm Worker for the ATC Farm. This is a manual labor role focusing on essential farming activities, land preparation, crop management, and facility maintenance under the direction of the farm manager.

Requirements for Appointment

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be in possession of a National Identification Card.
• Hold a minimum of a Primary School Certificate (KCSE qualification is noted as acceptable).
• Possess basic knowledge of farm work and crop management.
• Be physically fit and willing to perform manual labour.
• Be punctual, disciplined, and able to follow instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare land through digging, weeding, and leveling.
• Assist in planting, watering, and harvesting crops.
• Maintain structures, tools, and irrigation facilities.
• Control weeds and pests under supervision.
• Support livestock care and farm maintenance.
• Record daily farm activities as directed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the farm manager.
