Moja Expressway Company is seeking to recruit a qualified and dedicated Gardener to maintain the landscaping, greenery, and overall aesthetics of their premises in Nairobi.
Your Responsibilities
Landscaping and Groundskeeping: Maintain lawns, flower beds, trees, and hedges.
Irrigation: Water plants and manage irrigation systems.
: Plant, prune, and replace vegetation as required.
Cultivation
Pest and Weed Control: Control weeds, pests, and plant diseases.
Soil Management: Apply fertilizers and manure to support plant growth.
Sanitation: Keep the compound clean (sweeping, waste collection, and proper disposal).
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely.
Health Monitoring: Monitor plant health and report any arising issues.
Safety Adherence: Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Beautification Support: Support ongoing landscaping and beautification projects.
Required Skills and Experience
KCSE certificate; formal training in horticulture is an added advantage.
Applicant should be between the age of 25–35 years.
Demonstrated ability to maintain lawns, flowers, trees, and hedges.
Skilled in the use of gardening tools and equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, slashers).
General knowledge of plant care, soil management, and pest control.
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors under various weather conditions.
Basic understanding of irrigation and water management techniques.
Knowledge of health and safety practices, including the use of protective gear and safe chemical handling.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions reliably.
Disciplined, reliable, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
Must possess a valid National ID; a Certificate of Good Conduct is an added advantage.
