The University of Embu (UoEm) is offering a funded Master of Science (MSc) scholarship in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering for the 2026/2027 academic year under the HEST II Project provisions. Successful candidates will be engaged as Graduate Assistants while pursuing their studies, with the expectation to transition to a Ph.D. programme upon successful completion.
Scholarship Package
Full coverage of tuition fees, research/project costs, and assessment costs for the prescribed duration of study under approved HEST II Project provisions.
Programme expected to commence during the 2026/2027 academic year.
Key Responsibilities & Terms of Engagement
Serve as a Graduate Assistant assigned to supervised duties such as tutorials, laboratory or field practicals, assessment support, and student mentorship.
Actively engage in research activities related to transportation engineering.
Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout the scholarship period and complete studies within the prescribed duration.
Bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of the University of Embu.
Expected to transition to a Ph.D. programme under the scholarship upon successful completion of the MSc programme.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
Certified copies of academic transcripts and degree certificate.
Evidence of professional registration where applicable.
