Full Time Faculty - ENT Surgeon, Department of Surgery

The Department of Surgery at Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a dedicated ENT Surgeon to join the faculty. The successful candidate will coordinate and monitor high-quality educational programs, contribute to scholarship, and provide exemplary clinical services in line with the departmental practice plan. This role involves a blend of academic instruction, research facilitation, and direct patient care to ensure the delivery of quality services to patients and their families.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Educational Oversight: Assist residents during their rotations, implementing and monitoring educational programs to ensure program outcomes are achieved.\n- Assessment and Examination: Participate in setting examinations and ensuring formative assessments for residents and interns are completed accurately.\n- Research and Scholarship: Promote and facilitate resident research, engage in scholarly activities (including educational and clinical research), and assist in the publication of research work.\n- Clinical Service: Provide predetermined outpatient and inpatient clinical services, including attending to emergency cases as required.\n- Specialization Development: Establish clinical services aligned with specific areas of interest and specialization.\n- Teaching Activity: Prepare and maintain a schedule for regular clinical teaching activities.\n- Quality Assurance: Generate audits from clinical practice to align with expected clinical outcomes.\n\n### Requirements\n- Education: Must hold a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Surgery.\n- Specialization: Must have completed a Fellowship program in ENT (Otolaryngology).\n- Licensure: Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ & Dentists Council (KMPDC) as a sub-specialist.\n- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of clinical experience at a reputable institution.\n- Academic Standing: Should hold a minimum academic position of Senior Instructor.\n- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.\n- Leadership: Experience in leadership roles within medical education and clinical fields is preferred.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online via the official recruitment portal: Aga Khan University Hospital Application Portal.
