Freelance Graphic Designer

This role is for a Freelance Graphic Designer hired as a consultant to provide professional graphic design services. The position is listed as remote, with location indicated as Nairobi. The primary focus involves creating, editing, and laying out documents for both print and web distribution. The designer will be expected to work rigorously within established brand identity systems and effectively utilize existing organizational templates.

Selection Criteria and Qualifications

The consultant or consultant firm should comply with the following minimum qualifications:

• BA/BSc/HND qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience as a professional graphic designer.
• High level of expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign and Illustrator).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Experience with editorial design and page layout for print and the web.
• Experience working within brand identity systems and using existing templates.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Proposals and/or any additional information received after the submission time and date are subject to rejection by RA (Rainforest Alliance).
• Incomplete proposals may be rejected by RA at its discretion.
• RA reserves the right to request additional information at any time during the procurement process.
• RA is at liberty to make multiple or no selections as part of the proposal process. RA also reserves the right to cancel the procurement.
• All proposal costs shall be borne by the applicant and will not be reimbursed by RA.
• It is the responsibility of every bidder to identify any information of a confidential or proprietary nature contained in its proposal so that it may be handled accordingly. However, RA cannot guarantee confidentiality.
