Career Options Africa Group is seeking to recruit a Food Science Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will support production operations and business development initiatives while ensuring products meet the required quality, food safety, and production standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support production activities to ensure efficient and consistent manufacturing processes.
Assist in business development initiatives, including product improvement and new product development.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and workplace safety standards.
Participate in research and development of new products and product enhancements.
Work closely with the production team to achieve established production and quality standards.
Monitor production processes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production and quality activities.
Qualifications
A diploma in food production, food science, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Passion for innovation and sustainability in food systems.
Knowledge of local consumer trends and nutritional needs.
Remuneration
Monthly salary: KES 35,000.
