Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) is seeking a qualified Food Processing Technician to join its institution in Eldoret. The role involves managing laboratory practicals, keeping student records, maintaining food processing equipment and laboratory inventory, ensuring safety, and assisting with production activities in the processing section.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of practical classes/courses and keeping of student records, practical allocation, and loss/breakage records.
Maintain Laboratory Inventory and ensure Safety.
Collection and preparation of teaching and research materials from procurement.
Ensure that the laboratory equipment is clean and available for the next practical.
Issue materials and equipment during laboratory practical sessions.
Carry out maintenance of food processing equipment.
Carry out production of food products in the processing section.
Maintain proficiency in laboratory techniques and testing procedures.
Requirements
Diploma in Food Processing and Science Technology.
Must have at least 3 years' experience with a reputable institution.
Must be computer literate.
Above the age of 25 years.
Requirements Upon Appointment
Successful candidates must satisfy Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya and submit the following documents prior to receiving an offer letter:
Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
Certificate of Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
