Role Overview\nReporting to the Group CFO (AGL) & SCA Management, the Finance Manager will act as a key business partner to management, contributing directly to decision-making, performance optimization, and value creation across the alliance to support the growth of Supply Chain Alliance (SCA).\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n#### Strategic Finance Business Partnering\n* Act as a trusted advisor to SCA leadership on financial performance, profitability, and risk.\n* Support commercial teams in structuring trade deals, evaluating margins and risk/return profiles, optimizing pricing and working capital.\n* Provide financial insights to support strategic expansion across Africa.\n* Contribute to investment cases, business plans, and Board-level reporting.\n\n#### Trade Finance & Risk Management\n* Oversee end-to-end trade finance processes including Letters of Credit (LCs), guarantees, documentary collections, and structured trade finance solutions.\n* Monitor and manage: FX exposure, commodity price exposure, counterparty risk.\n* Ensure robust hedging strategies and risk mitigation frameworks.\n* Liaise with banks and financial institutions on funding structures.\n\n#### Treasury & Working Capital Optimization\n* Manage cash flow across complex trade cycles (origin to warehouse to client).\n* Optimize inventory financing, receivables and payables, and liquidity across multiple jurisdictions.\n* Drive efficient use of equity and debt financing.\n* Support funding strategies aligned with business growth.\n\n#### Financial Planning, Analysis & Performance Management\n* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.\n* Develop advanced profitability analysis (by country, product, client) & margin tracking for VMI/PMI models.\n* Track KPIs linked to volumes, pricing, logistics costs, and working capital.\n* Provide clear, actionable reporting to senior stakeholders.\n\n#### Accounting, Reporting & Governance\n* Oversee full accounting cycle: revenue recognition (including commodities/trade specifics), cost accounting, intercompany flows (CZ / AGL / SCA), reconciliations, and closing processes.\n* Ensure compliance with: IFRS / local GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.\n* Produce high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.\n\n#### Internal Controls & Compliance Framework\n* Build and implement a robust internal control environment suited to a scale-up.\n* Ensure compliance with internal policies, banking covenants, and trade finance regulations.\n* Manage audit processes (internal and external).\n* Establish governance aligned with both CZ and AGL standards.\n\n#### Process Building & Scalability\n* Design and implement scalable financial processes for a growing multi-country operation.\n* Improve systems, tools, and reporting automation.\n* Support ERP / finance system enhancements where required.\n* Ensure process standardization and efficiency across geographies.\n\n#### Leadership & Team Development\n* Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
