This role is for a Film & Theatre Teacher based at the Machakos Campus. As the teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the artistic experience of learners through dynamic and practical instruction in film and theatre arts.
Responsibilities (What You Will Do)
- Designing engaging, practical, and learner-centered lessons.
- Guiding students through performances, projects, and creative expression.
- Using modern teaching methods and digital tools to elevate learning.
- Assessing learners through varied methods (performances, presentations, quizzes, exams).
- Providing continuous feedback and supporting individualized learning needs.
- Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and best teaching practices.
- Actively participating in professional development to grow in your craft.
Qualifications and Requirements (What We’re Looking For)
We are seeking a professional who is driven, passionate, and ready to bring stories, performances, and creative thinking to life, with the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Film & Theatre Education or Film/Theatre coupled with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- TSC registration or proof of registration in progress.
- Strong understanding of the Kenyan curriculum, especially Competency-Based Curriculum (CBE).
- Excellent communication, creativity, and digital competency.
- The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and inspire learners.
- Experience in co-curricular activities is considered an added advantage.
