M-KOPA’s mission is to make high-quality energy affordable to everyone. As a Field Service Assistant, you will be responsible for leading product demonstrations, onboarding new customers, and ensuring all operational procedures are followed at the retail shop. This on-site role reports to the Customer Experience Officer and focuses on providing excellent service while maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance.
Responsibilities
Product Engagement: Lead product pitching, demonstrations, and induction sessions for new customers.
Customer Guidance: Explain financing terms, insurance, driving school requirements, and customer responsibilities clearly.
Compliance & KYC: Review KYC (Know Your Customer) documents, ensure policy compliance, and identify/escalate potential fraud risks.
Data Management: Accurately capture customer data into the system and sync with the Customer Care Team for screening.
Asset Management: Validate asset readiness checklists covering mechanical state, charge levels, and accessories. Document and hand over bikes and accessories (helmets, etc.) to customers.
Workflow Management: Manage the end-to-end onboarding workflow from verification and training to activation and issuance.
Training: Deliver customer training on riding safety, insurance, battery care, charging, payments, and app use. Validate understanding and track attendance.
Requirements and Expertise
Education: College diploma or tertiary training in any field.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service (front office experience is an added advantage).
Technical Skills: Basic technical knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, professional demeanor, and high attention to detail.
Operational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
