Role Overview
The Event PR & Marketing Manager is pivotal in leading all strategic, creative, and operational marketing and public relations efforts for the Kenya Homes Expo. The primary objective of this role is to ensure strong visibility, high attendance, impactful branding, coordinated exhibitor promotions, and seamless public communication across all platforms.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
PR & Communications Management
- Develop and implement the annual PR strategy.
- Liaise effectively with media houses.
- Prepare comprehensive press releases and media briefs.
- Coordinate interviews and media tours.
- Manage crisis communication proactively.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop detailed marketing plans for each Expo.
- Oversee social media strategy and content creation.
- Lead exhibitor promotional campaigns.
Event Branding & Visual Management
- Oversee event branding, signage, and billboards.
- Supervise photographers and designers involved in event visual assets.
Media & Stakeholder Relations
- Build long-term partnerships with key media outlets and industry bodies.
Digital Marketing & Data Analytics
- Manage SEO, SEM, and Google Ads campaigns.
- Analyse campaign results to optimize future strategies.
Event Support & Operations
- Coordinate branding, PR exposure, and exhibitor communication activities during the event lifecycle.
Post-Event Marketing
- Prepare comprehensive post-event reports.
- Lead nurturing and community engagement efforts following the event.
Qualifications, Training, and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Journalism, Communications, or Business is required.
- Added advantage: Certifications such as CIM, PRSK, Google Digital Marketing, or Meta Blueprint.
Training
- Specific training in Events management.
- Specific training in Social media management.
- Specific training in Crisis communication.
- Proficiency with Analytics tools.
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in marketing, PR, events, or communications.
- Proven experience running large events or trade fairs.
- Experience working with media and creative agencies.
Special Expertise
- Knowledge of Real estate marketing (an added advantage).
- Strong networking capabilities with media and sponsors.
- Demonstrated experience running high-impact campaigns.
