The County Government of Nandi is seeking to recruit five (5) qualified individuals for the position of Environment Officer I. This role involves professional work in environmental management, focusing on conservation and sustainable development within the county. The successful candidates will be tasked with implementing environmental policies and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities
Implementing environmental management policies and programs within the county.
Monitoring environmental quality and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Coordinating community-based conservation and natural resource management initiatives.
Conducting environmental impact assessments and preparing detailed technical reports.
Promoting environmental awareness and education within the community.
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Environmental Management, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Natural Resource Management, Natural Science, Community Development, or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications (Must be computer literate).
