The County Government of Tana River is seeking to recruit nine (9) Enrolled Nurses III. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care services, focusing on patient assessment, planning and implementation of care interventions, and ensuring positive health outcomes. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering primary healthcare services across various settings, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to overall community health.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assessing patients and clients and establish health care needs.
- Planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients/clients’ health needs.
- Providing appropriate healthcare service, including immunization, ante-natal care, and delivery.
- Referring patients and clients appropriately.
- Evaluating healthcare outcomes on patient/client and preparing individualized reports.
- Making appropriate discharge plan for patients.
- Conducting assessment of school health needs.
- Planning, implementing intervention and preparing periodic reports.
- Maintaining records on patients/clients personal and health condition/care.
- Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment.
- Ensuring safe custody for in-patient belongings.
- Conducting home visits.
- Following up discharged patient/clients and providing continuity of care.
- Treating minor ailments.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Enrolled Nurse, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse, Kenya Enrolled Midwife, Kenya Enrolled Psychiatric Nurse or Enrolled Nurse/Midwifery from a recognized training institution.
- Enrolment Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid practising license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
