The Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining sustainable water and sanitation facilities within the Agency's area of jurisdiction. This role involves the technical oversight of project lifecycles, from proposal and data collection to infrastructure design and implementation reporting, ensuring enhanced livelihood and economic development in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Proposals: Collect data for developing investment proposals to secure continued and sustained funding for projects and activities.
Master Planning: Gather data to develop and review water and sanitation master plans for the institution's area of jurisdiction.
Project Identification: Identify new water and sanitation projects and draft associated tender documents.
Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in stakeholder consultations and community engagement activities.
Feasibility & Design: Carry out project feasibility studies and design water and sanitation infrastructure.
Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports along with performance management reports.
Innovation: Research new technologies for water and sanitation management.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in the engineering field.
Professional Registration: Must be registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a Graduate Engineer.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Constitutional Requirements: Must fulfill the provisions of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
