This role is for Economics Interns based in Nairobi, offering a fixed, three-month internship program designed for current university students seeking professional experience in a dynamic corporate environment.
Eligibility and Application Requirements
To be eligible for this internship program, applicants must meet specific educational and status criteria:
- Only students in their 3rd or final year can apply for these opportunities.
- Candidates should plan to continue their education once the internship concludes or be awaiting graduation.
- Candidates who finished their education and have spent over a year (12 months) since leaving school will not qualify for consideration. Applications from such candidates will be automatically declined.
- You must be in a public or accredited private academic institution undertaking a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- You must be on break/holiday from school during the three-month internship period.

A successful intern is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and possess strong foundational skills:
- A desire to gain professional experience and an exceptional eagerness to learn and explore possibilities.
- Strong listening skills are required.
- Oral and written communication skills, the ability to understand instructions, as well as not being afraid to ask questions will ensure a productive internship.
- Excellent knowledge in use of Microsoft applications is needed.
- Very articulate with fluent English.
- Patient, attention to detail, fast learner, committed, able to understand directions, and capable of working quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Keen to learn about the markets, displaying high attention to detail and pride in their work at this initial stage of their career development.
- A dedication to completing the fixed 3 months internship program.
Mandatory Documentation

- Letter from your academic institution indicating you are a student there and/or require an internship as part of the course completion requirement.
- Personal Accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
- Bank account details.
- Copy of National Identity Card.
- Copy of KRA Pin Certificate.
- NSSF and SHA numbers.
Critical Application Details
- The internship is for a fixed period of three months without extension.
