Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) is a leading owner/operator of one of the largest and most prestigious power generating projects in Africa.

Role Summary

This role aims to provide reliable driving services by using assigned transport means to transport authorized staff members, officials, visitors, goods, documents, mail, and other items.

Note: The successful candidate will be based in Nairobi and will be required to travel regularly to the Company's project site in Marsabit, as well as to other locations as may be required from time to time, in fulfilment of the responsibilities and operational requirements of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the company cars by ensuring they stay clean and receive regular scheduled servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the vehicles are equipped with all the necessary tools and documents before leaving for any duties.
• Check the motor oil, water, tyre pressure, battery water, and brakes daily to ensure that all are in good working order.
• Ensure that vehicle keys and documents are kept secure when the vehicle is not in use following route and time schedules.
• Detect and report malfunctioning of vehicle systems.
• Ensure the security and safety of goods and passengers during transit to avoid loss or damage and maintain the integrity of transporting materials.
• Maintain proper recording of the mileage, destination, and time for accountability and control of the movement of vehicles assigned.
• Report any incidents or accidents to the relevant authorities to advise further action.

Requirements

• Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
• A valid driving license class ABCE.
• Excellent driving skills.
• At least three years of experience as a driver with excellent driving records and knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to do minor vehicle repairs and diagnosis.
