Job Description
The Deputy Director Special Programs and Social Welfare will assist the Director of Special Programs to manage and coordinate complex development activities within a diverse socio-economic and political landscape. The successful officer will be responsible for the efficient management and co-ordination of county government development initiatives, resource mobilization, disaster management, emergency response activities, peace promotion, security coordination, and conflict resolution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Director in dealing with highly complex development activities and diverse socio-economic and political backgrounds.
Efficiently manage and coordinate County Government development activities.
Mobilize resources for development programs.
Coordinate disaster management and emergency response activities.
Coordinate and promote peace and security within the county.
Promote and coordinate conflict resolution and peace-building initiatives.
Requirements for Appointment
Served in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of five (5) years.
A university degree in Political Sciences, International Relations, Economics, Business Information Technology, or any other relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.
Good knowledge of the development sector and international affairs.
Strong project management, research, and analytical skills.
