Dean - School of Computer Science and Information Technology

The Dean of the School of Computer Science and Information Technology (SCIT) role at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) is a pivotal leadership position invited under the University Statutes—Statutes XXVI. This position requires a candidate to provide strategic academic and administrative direction for the School.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this position, a candidate must meet the following mandatory requirements:

1. Be a current member of the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at the academic rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Senior Lecturer.
2. Have served for a cumulative period of one (1) year in a senior administrative capacity. This experience must include service as a substantive Chairperson of a Department, an Acting Chairperson of a Department, an Acting Dean, an Acting Director, or a Deputy Director of a Centre or Institute.
3. Have demonstrated abilities to set performance targets and consistently meet these, along with other targets set by the University.
