The Data Science and Analytics Interns position at Diageo in Nairobi is a critical opportunity for highly motivated students to gain professional experience within the world’s leading premium drinks company. This internship is for a fixed period of three months.
Eligibility and Program Requirements
This internship program is strictly for students who meet the following criteria:
- Only students currently in their 3rd or final year of study can apply for these opportunities. They should plan to continue their education once the internship concludes or be awaiting graduation.
- Candidates who finished their education and have spent over a year (12 months) since leaving school will not qualify for consideration. If you apply your application will automatically be declined.
- You must be undertaking a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (BA/BSc/HND) in a public or accredited private academic institution.
- You must be on break/holiday from school during the internship period.
- A dedication to completing the 3-month internship program is mandatory.
Desired Skills and Attributes
A successful intern has a desire to gain professional experience and is exceptionally eager to learn and explore possibilities. The successful candidate must possess the following attributes and skills:
- Strong listening skills.
- Oral and written communication skills, the ability to understand instructions, as well as not being afraid to ask questions.
- Excellent knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications.
- Fluency in English (very articulate).
- Patience, attention to detail, fast learner, committed, able to understand directions, can work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- A keen interest in learning about the markets, coupled with high attention to detail and pride in their work at this initial stage of their career development.

- Letter from your institution indicating you are a student there and/or require internship as part of requirement for course completion.
- Personal Accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
- Bank account details.
- Copy of National Identity Card.
- Copy of KRA Pin Certificate.
- NSSF and SHA numbers.
