Job Description
The Coxswain II is responsible for the timely and efficient provision of Harbour Pilot and Mooring Boat services for the Kenya Ports Authority. This role involves the effective operation of assigned harbour crafts and coordination with the Marine Engineering department concerning maintenance and statutory compliance.
Job Specifications (Responsibilities)
Undertake timely and efficient provision of Harbour Pilot/Mooring Boats services as set in individual performance target.
Liaise with Marine engineering department regarding maintenance schedules and statutory inspections on harbour crafts.
Execute maintenance plans and schedules for Harbour Pilot/Mooring Boats in liaison with Marine Engineering department.
Person Specifications (Qualifications and Experience)
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
KCSE C+ (plus) or its equivalent.
Three (3) years' Experience as Sailor I or in relevant field.
Must be a holder of Coxswain II craft/Master Class 3.
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
Remuneration (Kshs.)
The remuneration package for this position is:
Basic Salary: 76,156.00 - 108,767.00
House Allowance: 32,750.00
Motor Transport Allowance: 17,000.00
