County Chief Officer, Procurement and Accounting Services

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for a specific county department.
• Formulate and implement programs aimed at achieving Vision 2030 and sector goals.
• Develop and execute strategic plans and sector development plans.
• Implement relevant policies and regulations.
• Offer strategic policy direction to enhance service delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with National Values and Principles of Good Governance as well as Public Service values as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
• Execute any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment

• Must be a Kenyan citizen.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a university recognized in Kenya. A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field, with at least 5 years served in a senior or managerial position within a large organization.
• Must be registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of county development objectives and Vision 2030.
• Proven strategic thinker and results-oriented professional.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure to meet strict timelines.
• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the National Values and Principles of Governance.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
