Counselling Intern

The role is for a Counselling Intern at Kituo Cha Sheria (KITUO), the oldest and most experienced legal aid and human rights non-governmental organization in Kenya. KITUO exists to empower the poor and marginalized and to enhance equity and access to justice for all.

This internship offers recent graduates in Counselling the opportunity for a 6-month placement to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful change. As a Counselling Intern, you will be expected to provide vital psycho-social support to clients, working alongside legal teams to ensure holistic support for individuals facing complex legal and social challenges.

Job Details

• Position: Counselling Intern (Recent graduates in Counselling)
• Duration: 6 months (Contract Internship)
• Placement Period: 1st January 2026 to 30th June 2026
• Location: Placements are available at KITUO's offices in Nairobi and Mombasa, as well as in various social justice centres.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a recent graduate in Counselling.
• Must hold a minimum qualification of BA/BSc/HND.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful change.
