Corporate Relationship Managers – Assets

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Banking, the Relationship Manager-Assets will be responsible for driving the growth of the Bank’s deposits as well as marketing and selling loans and advances to existing and new corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Market business opportunities including new assets and liabilities.
• Analyze client business models and cash flows to make informed decisions on borrowing limits.
• Prepare credit summaries for approval by the Credit Committee and Board of Directors, ensuring ongoing credit monitoring and control.
• Meet with clients to determine their requirements, provide strategic advice, and manage their asset portfolios accordingly.
• Maintain positive bank-client relationships to ensure mutual benefit and high customer satisfaction.
• Conduct risk analysis, prepare financial and asset management reports, review policies, and develop strategies to maximize asset growth.
• Create, organize, and manage client asset portfolios to increase overall value while minimizing risk.
• Monitor asset performance, recommend corrective actions, and develop strategies to improve ROI and minimize losses.
• Prepare routine management reports.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field from a recognized university.
• Professional banking qualifications such as AKIB and/or CPA (K) will be an added advantage.
• At least 7 years of banking experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the banking industry.
• Demonstrated experience in public sector business prospecting for both loans and deposits is an added advantage.
• Strong skills in sales, marketing, and customer service management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated competency in high-performance management.
