We are seeking to fill the position of Controller in Nairobi.
The Controller shall undertake the monitoring of Surveillance systems and other security systems.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Booking all incidents in the systems.
- Maintaining surveillance of the surrounding areas with a view of detecting suspicious activities.
- Operating, maintenance, and monitoring all security systems within the Control centre in an efficient manner.
- Monitoring the alarms and causing the Response teams to respond to distress calls immediately.
- Effectively monitoring and patrolling via view screens and taking any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen.
- Monitoring the surveillance systems, CCTV, tracking systems, alarms, and other security equipment, and initiating incident response as appropriate within laid down response and escalation procedures.
- Communicating with other departments, external agencies, or the public in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Maintaining a secure system by providing data in accordance with the regulations set up by the organization and ensuring the security of the control room and equipment is maintained at all times.
- Monitoring and radio calling all sub-stations and ensuring they are alert at all times.
- Carrying out regular equipment checks and reporting equipment failure to the relevant supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Security Studies or any other relevant degree.
- 4 - 10 years of professional experience is required.
- Tech savvy with good working knowledge of computers.
- Experience in CCTV surveillance.
- Good command of English language including Phonetic language.
- Previous work experience serving as a Controller under the private security industry is a Must.
- Training in CCTV monitoring shall be an added advantage.
