Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company, a business built on the principles and foundations laid by the giants of our industry. This internship program is seeking Communication Interns in Nairobi for a fixed period of three months.
Internship Application Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the internship program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Only students currently in their 3rd or final year of study can apply for these opportunities.
- Applicants should plan to continue their education once the internship concludes or be currently awaiting graduation. Candidates who finished their education and have spent over a year (12 months) since leaving school will not qualify for consideration. If you apply, your application will automatically be declined.
- You must be undertaking a bachelor’s degree or equivalent at a public or accredited private academic institution.
- You must be on break/holiday from school during the entire internship period.
- A dedication to completing the three-month internship program is mandatory.
Required Skills and Attributes
A successful intern has a desire to gain professional experience and is exceptionally eager to learn and explore possibilities. Key attributes and skills required include:
- Strong listening skills.
- Oral and written communication skills, and the ability to understand instructions clearly, as well as not being afraid to ask questions.
- Excellent proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications.
- Very articulate with fluent English.
- Patient, attention to detail, and a fast learner.
- Committed, able to understand directions, and capable of working quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Keen to learn about the markets and demonstrates a high attention to detail and pride in their work at this initial stage of their career development.
Mandatory Documentation Requirements
Applicants must possess the following mandatory documents upon successful selection:
- Letter from your institution indicating you are a student there and/or require internship as part of the requirement for course completion.
- Personal Accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
- Bank account details.
- Copy of National Identity Card.
- Copy of KRA Pin Certificate.
- NSSF and SHA numbers.

- The internship is for a fixed period of three months without extension.
- You will be required to complete an online test as soon as the application process is closed to progress through the recruitment process.
