The Client Solution Advisor role at Kenya Builders & Concrete Co. Ltd is crucial for driving retail sales and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Kenya Builders & Concrete Co. Ltd is a leading company in Kenya specializing in Quarrying and Supplies of Aggregates, Concrete Paving Blocks, Concrete Masonry Blocks, Precast Concrete Products & Civil Works.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales
- Assist walk-in customers, understand their requirements, and recommend suitable materials.
- Actively prospect for new customers through referrals, cold calling, site visits, online research, social media outreach, networking events, industry trade shows, inbound inquiries, and any other methods prescribed by the company.
- Educate customers on product benefits, pricing, and applications to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Kenya Builders’ retail product range.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize sales.
- Process customer orders, generate quotations, and ensure all transactions are logged in HubSpot CRM in compliance with company policies.
Store Management & Merchandising
- Ensure retail displays are well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing to attract buyers.
- Assist in stock control, updating inventory records, and ensuring product availability.
- Monitor retail trends and customer feedback to help improve store layout and product presentation.
CRM & Sales Administration
- Log all customer interactions, sales, and inquiries into HubSpot CRM for proper tracking and follow-ups.
- Follow up on open quotations and pending orders to ensure timely closure of sales.
- Collaborate with the Telesales Team to convert inbound leads into in-store sales.
Customer Service & Relationship Building
- Handle customer complaints, queries, and concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with repeat customers.
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with the Retail Manager to improve sales performance.
Team Collaboration & Performance Improvement
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings to review performance and receive ongoing training.
- Stay updated on company policies, promotions, and new product offerings.
Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferable).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role (preferably in the construction, hardware, or retail sector) (preferable).
- Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and basic POS (Point of Sale) systems.
