Job Description
Choice Microfinance Bank is looking for a China Desk Relationship Manager (Mandarin Speaking) to serve as the primary point of contact for the China Desk client portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing the portfolio, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, and facilitating cross-border financial solutions within the China-Kenya trade corridor.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management: Manage and expand a portfolio of China Desk clients, acting as their main point of contact for all banking-related needs while ensuring high retention and satisfaction levels.
Client Onboarding: Lead the end-to-end onboarding process, including account opening, managing KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation, and coordinating with compliance teams for timely activation.
Payment & Remittance Solutions: Support and manage client cross-border payment requirements, focusing on CNY remittances and China corridor solutions, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
Operational Support: Address daily client requests, including transaction inquiries, following up on payments, and resolving troubleshooting operational issues promptly.
Product Promotion: Advise clients on and promote relevant banking products such as Foreign Exchange (FX) services, fixed deposits, and specific payment solutions to increase engagement.
Internal Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal operations, compliance, treasury, and product teams to deliver seamless service and effective problem resolution.
Business Growth: Identify strategic opportunities to deepen client relationships, increase transaction volumes, and support the overall growth of the China corridor business.
Compliance: Monitor client activities to ensure strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, supporting documentation reviews as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, International Trade, or a related field.
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in sales, preferably within trade finance, import/export, or logistics.
Mandatory Skill: Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is essential for engaging with Chinese partners and clients.
Track Record: Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Industry Knowledge: Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers or managing clients within the China trade corridor.
