Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company, a business built on the principles and foundations laid by the giants of our industry. This internship program seeks Chemical Engineering Interns based in Nairobi for a fixed period of three months.
Internship Program Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility to Apply:
- Only students currently in their 3rd or final year can apply for these opportunities. They should plan to continue their education once the internship concludes or be awaiting graduation.
- Candidates who finished their education and have spent over a year (12 months) since leaving school will not qualify for consideration. Applications from such candidates will be automatically declined.
- You must be enrolled in a public or accredited private academic institution undertaking a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (BA/BSc/HND).
- You must be on break/holiday from school during the internship period.
- A dedication to completing the fixed 3-month internship program is mandatory.
Required Skills and Attributes:
A successful intern has a desire to gain professional experience and is exceptionally eager to learn and explore possibilities. The role requires:
- Strong listening skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to understand instructions and not being afraid to ask questions.
- Excellent knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications is needed.
- Very articulate with fluent English.
- Must be patient, possess attention to detail, be a fast learner, committed, able to understand directions, and capable of working quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Keenness to learn about the markets and demonstrating high attention to detail and pride in their work at this initial stage of their career development.

- Letter from your institution indicating you are a student there and/or require internship as part of the requirement for course completion.
- Personal Accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
- Bank account details.
- Copy of National Identity Card.
- Copy of KRA Pin Certificate.
- NSSF and SHA numbers.
