The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is seeking a highly distinguished individual to fill the position of Chairperson, Political Parties Disputes Tribunal. This vital role involves leading the Tribunal responsible for resolving disputes arising within or between political parties in Kenya.
Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Experience:
- Possess at least ten (10) years’ experience as a distinguished academic, or legal practitioner, or such experience in other relevant legal field.
- Have held the necessary legal qualifications (as implied by the required experience) for a period amounting, in the aggregate, to ten (10) years; irrespective of whether that experience was gained in Kenya or in another Commonwealth Common-Law jurisdiction.
- Education: A minimum qualification of BA/BSc/HND (Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma) is required, corresponding to the professional qualifications necessary for extensive legal practice/academia.
- Preferred Qualification: Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) will be considered an added advantage.
