The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is seeking to recruit three (3) Call Centre Officers II. The successful candidates will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and processing complaints regarding police misconduct at the Authority's Call Centre. This role is vital in providing a civilian oversight mechanism that promotes public trust and confidence in the National Police Service.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and processing complaints on police misconduct at the call centre.
Implementing internal case intake committee recommendations.
Updating and maintaining records at the call centre.
Implementing systems and processes at the call centre for the efficient management of complaints against the police.
Collecting and collating data for both internal and external reports pertaining to call centre operations.
Providing regular feedback to complainants on the status of their reported cases.
Implementing risk mitigation measures within the call centre workflow.
Supporting the implementation of quality assurance standards in the call centre.
Requirements and Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Law, Criminology, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Public Relations, Sociology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Proven proficiency in computer applications.
