The role of the Business Systems Lead is to ensure the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of Penda’s IT systems, particularly healthcare and business software critical to daily operations. This role manages system uptime, user access, IT compliance, and technical support across all sites. Success in this role means minimal system downtime, timely user support, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure to support Penda’s growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
IT Systems Operations & Maintenance
- Manage daily operations, monitor system performance, apply updates, and maintain security and compliance across all IT software systems.
User Account Management & Support
- Oversee user account access, provide technical support, and serve as an escalation point to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Training & Onboarding
- Develop documentation, communicate system updates, and conduct training for new and advanced users.
Software Solutions & Business Continuity
- Support implementation and maintenance of software solutions, manage subscriptions, and ensure business continuity across all systems.
Culture & Collaboration
- Model Penda’s values, contribute to a collaborative IT culture, and drive continuous improvement in processes and service delivery
Qualifications and Experience
To be a great fit, you should have:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in IT systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Experience with healthcare IT systems, particularly EMR, is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and user support activities effectively.
