Business Development & Partnership Manager

St. John Ambulance is an international humanitarian organization and a foundation of the Order of St. John. St John Kenya is a charity established by the St John Ambulance of Kenya Act Cap 259 for the purposes of, among other things, offering relief to the injured and sick people without discrimination through its first aid and health programs.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic relationship builder with a strong understanding of the development and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a business development strategy.
• Identify new markets and revenue opportunities.
• Build partnerships with corporates, government, NGOs, and international St. John organizations.
• Lead proposal development and donor engagement.
• Collaborate with communications to enhance visibility and promote services.
• Monitor performance and report to management and the Board.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Marketing, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development or partnerships, with five (5) years in senior roles.
• Proven success in fundraising and strategic relationship management.
• Strong understanding of the donor landscape and proposal development.
