Business Development Officer

This role serves as the Business Development Officer for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Kenya, a professional organization for Internal Auditors established in 2002 and an affiliate of the Global Institute of Internal Auditors. The primary objective is to drive organizational growth, particularly in specialized training and consultancy services. The position requires identifying new business avenues, cultivating strategic partnerships, and managing key relationships with clients, members, and partners to ensure long-term collaboration and secure sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive growth in specialized trainings and consultancy services.
• Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and implement business development strategies.
• Secure sponsorships and long-term collaborations.
• Manage and strengthen client, member, and partner relationships.
• Conduct market research to propose viable ventures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess the following:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience of at least 5 years in membership organizations or similar roles.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, cross-selling, client engagement, and relationship-building skills.
• Competencies: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional Affiliation: Membership of a related professional body.
