Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Development Manager who will play a vital role in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the building and construction sector. The role involves sourcing projects, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction and building materials sector.
Support the sales team in project identification, lead generation, and commercial negotiations.
Engage with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and consultants to position the company’s solutions effectively.
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and solution walkthroughs to project stakeholders.
Offer recommendations on best practices to optimize product usage and project outcomes.
Collaborate with the sales team during proposal development, tender submissions, and project bidding.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and operations to ensure timely delivery of products for projects.
Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, and project pipelines.
Provide insights to the sales and management team to refine strategies and product positioning.
Monitor client feedback and technical challenges to improve product offerings and services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, project stakeholders, and consultants.
Act as the technical point of contact for high-value clients and complex projects.
Ensure customer satisfaction and promote long-term business relationships.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical/Structural Engineering, or a related technical field.
8 years’ experience in business development or sales within the Manufacturing - building materials industry.
Strong understanding of construction processes, tendering procedures, and project cycles.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
Good understanding of contracts and tender documentation.
Understanding of sales performance metrics.
Financial and commercial awareness.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Self-driven and results-oriented.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
