Our client is seeking to hire a highly driven and experienced Business Developer to drive new business, revenue growth, and market expansion for their spend-management software platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience selling software (SaaS, tech platforms, fintech tools, or ERPs) and must be confident managing end-to-end B2B sales cycles, from prospecting to discovery, demos, negotiations, closing, and handover to Customer Success.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and prospect target SMEs and mid-market companies.
Generate qualified leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, events, and partner referrals.
Maintain a strong and predictable pipeline aligned with monthly/quarterly targets.
Conduct discovery calls to understand client workflows and expense processes.
Deliver tailored product demos to finance teams and business leaders.
Manage proposals, handle objections, negotiate pricing/terms, and close deals.
Coordinate seamless handover to onboarding and Customer Success teams.
Map client challenges to platform capabilities.
Collaborate with internal teams to scope integrations.
Position relevant add-ons/modules to maximize client value.
Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
Work with Customer Success to convert usage into referrals and expansion revenue.
Track all activities and deals in the CRM.
Provide accurate weekly/monthly sales forecasts.
Adhere to follow-up and proposal SLA timelines.
Work with Marketing on campaigns targeting finance leaders.
Share insights from the field on objections, pricing, competitors, and product feedback.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience selling software/SaaS or B2B technology products.
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
