The Business Analyst role acts as a critical catalyst in the Company’s drive towards a performance-oriented culture and continuous improvement, providing high-level support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on critical performance initiatives, strategic projects, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). This role involves reviewing performance frameworks, driving project execution, facilitating risk identification and mitigation, and ensuring timely delivery across various management teams.
Responsibilities and Duties
Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Act as a critical catalyst in the Company’s drive towards a performance-oriented culture and continuous improvement.
- Review and continuously challenge/assist to update frameworks and tools used by the Company in driving performance. This includes performance dashboards, performance management systems, and other reports as required.
- Provide day-to-day support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on critical performance initiatives to ensure timely delivery by the various MRM Management Team members and teams.
- Support the CEO on special tasks such as business research, special analysis, and review of specific documents.
- Follow up on actions on behalf of the CEO as discussed and agreed.
- Assist the CEO during crisis management.
- Proactively identify matters that may require the CEO's attention.
Projects
- Prepare and share periodic summary status updates for the selected Business Unit key projects, clearly highlighting exceptions that require escalation/action.
- Lead the identification and prioritization of key Business Unit projects with the CEO and the MRM Management team, in support of MRM’s strategic and short-term objectives.
- Collaborate with the Management team and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of projects on a prioritized basis with a clear execution roadmap.
- Champion the development of business cases when required and ensure that benefits are tracked.
- Support the CEO in the development and driving progress on the strategic and operational plan.
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Support in the development/enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, tools, and practices to proactively identify, evaluate/analyse, and report enterprise risks & opportunities on an ongoing basis. This will include:
- Definitions
- Categorization of risks
- Evaluation/analysis methodology (e.g., impact; probability)
- Approach to mitigating risks – actions (SMART)
- Monitoring mechanisms
- In accordance with the Enterprise Risk Management framework and in alignment with Safal Group guidance:
- Assist in identifying and consolidating the enterprise risks at MRM, both overall and for respective operations/functions.
- Facilitate the evaluation of risks and the development of mitigation actions.
- Lead the monitoring of the status of the risks and mitigating actions, and facilitate the escalation process.
- Set up the appropriate forums and tools to track and monitor progress on mitigating actions and drive closure.
- Provide key inputs into relevant MRM / Safal Group reports and Board Committees that oversee the enterprise risk management process.
General Support
- General Support to the Chief Executive Officer and the MRM Management team to coordinate critical activities, monitor key actions, and drive closure of the same.
- Support the CEO in the preparation and effective execution of Key meetings and forums, e.g., Weekly PIT Stops and Monthly Business Review Meetings.
- Strongly contribute to the MRM Culture change program.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum academic qualification: BA/BSc/HND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience Required:
- At least 6–8 years of experience in business analysis, performance management, strategy execution, or a related role.
- Experience with driving change for improved performance.
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and driving business insights.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Project management experience is a plus.

Technical Skills & Tools:

- Good experience with data analysis and presentation tools and ERP systems (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, PPT, SAP, or similar).
