As the Building & Construction Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering practical, learner-centered education within the Building & Construction field, primarily targeting students in Secondary or TVET institutions. This role requires an individual who is self-driven, organized, committed to professional growth, and passionate about ensuring student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing practical, learner-centered lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Guiding students through hands-on projects, workshops, and demonstrations.
- Creating assessments that measure both technical competency and overall growth.
- Providing meaningful feedback and personalized academic support to students.
- Maintaining a positive, engaging, and conducive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to strengthen curriculum delivery methods and share best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Building & Construction or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience in a Secondary school or TVET institution.
- Registration: Must be TSC-registered or provide proof of registration in progress.
- Knowledge (Advantageous): Familiarity with Competency-Based Education (CBE).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy.
- Personal Attributes: Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
